Abstract:
The purpose of the article is to disclose the meaning of the term 'securities market' and to distinguish financial services based thereon. The term 'financial market' is defined as the area of financial resources trading, which ensures intermediate movement of money savings from the original depository to the end user occurring during sale and purchase of financial resources based on supply and demand in financial assets. The securities market as the segment of the financial market from the point of view of its economic substance is determined as the marketplace ensuring intermediation and arrangement of movement of savings through financial asset agreements (securities and financial assets other than securities). The securities market infrastructure is determined as the sphere of financial services providing operation of the securities market. It distinguishes main functions of the secrities market infrastructure (intermediate, technical, settlement and clearing, accounting; information and analytical, regulatory, protective, innovative), implementation of which stipulates provision of financial services in order to be able to trade with financial assets at the securities market.
