Formation of the Proper Personnel Potential of Commercial Banks

Abstract: Employees are the main asset of banking institutions. The concentration of capital, the expansion of the network of structural units, the list of services offered, the use of new methods and methods of management, and, ultimately, the position of the bank in the market, depend on their skills, knowledge and decisions. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the algorithm for efficient formation of the proper personnel potential of commercial banks. The analysis of the main factors affecting the development and effective operation of commercial banks was carried out. It was determined that the development strategy of personnel of commercial banks cannot be fully realized only at the micro level. It must necessarily provide for a number of measures at the macro level: the reform of state policy in the sphere of education and training, employment and income of the population, physical development and health, social protection, proper financing of human development at the meso level, and in the regions. The need to develop the personnel management mechanism based on the effective use of the human factor, its development, attraction of investments in continuous vocational training and staff development was proved. The algorithm for the effective formation of the proper personnel potential of commercial banks was justified, which takes into account the change and improvement of staff competencies that have occurred under the influence of effective training programs, staff development and material motivation. The use of this algorithm will allow commercial banks to optimize the investment mechanism for personnel development and to create the optimal level of the personnel potential of a banking institution that will meet its strategic goals.
