Integral Assessment of Efficiency of the Intellectual Property Objects Commercialization

Abstract: The development of a postindustrial society makes it impossible to ignore the role of the enterprise intellectual resources. As a consequence, there is a need to develop a method for assessing the effectiveness of intellectual property commercialization. The purpose of the article is to develop the integral indicator for determining the effectiveness of the intellectual property objects commercialization, which will provide management with the information necessary for making decisions. Scientific approaches to the evaluation of the effectiveness of innovation and innovation have been explored. The expediency of dividing all indicators of efficiency of the intellectual property objects commercialization into two groups was substantiated: general and special. General indicators of the intellectual property objects commercialization characterize the effectiveness of the intellectual property objects commercialization regardless of the chosen strategy, method or form of commercialization of intellectual property. The composition of special indicators of the effectiveness of the intellectual property objects commercialization depends on which commercialization strategy the enterprise has chosen. The author's approach to the calculation of the integral index of the efficiency of intellectual property objects commercialization was proposed. The proposed coefficient allows calculating the specific weight of intellectual property objects in the total amount of the company's incomes received. The method for assessing the effectiveness of the intellectual property objects commercialization and the options for interpreting the results of such an assessment were disclosed.
