Methodical Approach to Evaluation of the Economic Security's Level of the Communications Company

Abstract: In the conditions of cyclical economic development, the presence of crisis processes is a systematic phenomenon, the existence of which is a threat to the sustainable functioning of enterprises. Under these conditions, the problem of achieving an appropriate level of economic security of communications companies is an urgent issue, which requires the development of alternative methodological approaches to assessing this process. In this regard, the subject of the study is a methodological approach to assessing the level of economic security of communications companies for its functional subsystems. The methodological basis of the research is the scientific development of economists in the field of economic security in relation to alternative methods of assessing the level of economic security of enterprises. The article defines the requirements for choosing a methodological approach for assessing the level of economic security of telecommunications enterprises, which include industry affiliation, information accessibility, representativeness, dynamism and integral decomposition. The successive stages of estimation of the level of economic security of communication enterprises are offered. It is determined that the construction of the hierarchical structure of the integrated assessment of the level of economic security of communications enterprises is based on the development of an effective system of its indicators, the quantity and quality of which should be aimed at obtaining balanced information on the state of informational, financial, personnel and investment-innovation safety. An estimation of the quantitative and qualitative level of economic security of such leading Ukrainian telecommunications companies as Public Company "Ukrtelecom", PJSC "Kyivstar", PJSC "VF Ukraine", LLC "Lifecell". It is noted that the proposed methodological approach to assessing the level of economic security of communications companies is universal, objective and complex, since the results of its implementation allow to make informed management decisions regarding the state of safety of functional subsystems and their impact on the overall level of economic security of the enterprise.
