Abstract:
An important component of increasing socio-economic responsibility at the national level, which will ensure the development of the Ukrainian village, is the modeling of the social orientation of the economic entities activities in the agricultural sector. The purpose of the article is to disclose the theoretical and organizational foundations of modeling the social orientation of the business entities activities in the agricultural sector. Based on the theory of economic structures, the author substantiates the initial positions for the modeling. In particular, the heads of agricultural enterprises must determine: specific tasks that will bring enterprises closer to the fulfillment of their social functions; resources that must ensure the performance of social functions; the legislative framework governing activities aimed at performing social functions; the list of institutions with which agricultural enterprises cooperate in terms of efforts to fulfill their own social functions. The scenarios of making a decision on assuming social responsibility were disclosed. Among them: a scenario of entrepreneurial egoism, a scenario of altruism and a scenario of rational entrepreneurial egoism. It was proved that for modeling the key areas of enterprise social activity are those that are defined by the Commercial Code of Ukraine. The key subjects of state initiatives that should cooperate with agricultural enterprises to implement social initiatives, according to the author, are such state institutions as the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine, the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine, the Ministry of Regional development, construction and housing and communal services of Ukraine. An important criterion for the practical implementation of social initiatives is the accountability of agricultural enterprises to state agencies and institutions.
