CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS FOR KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT IMPLEMENTATION IN LIFE INSURANCE ENTERPRISES

Abstract: This study investigates the critical success factors for knowledge management implementation via empirical surveys among Taiwan’s life insurance enterprises using structure equation modeling. We find that individual characteristics, knowledge management characteristics and organizational characteristics significantly affect knowledge management implementation. Environments significantly influence knowledge management characteristics and organizational characteristics. Information technology infrastructure significantly affects knowledge management characteristics. This study provides directions for future research and practical implications for the life insurance business in having knowledge management into place
