Abstract: This paper examines the literature to determine the impact of ethical values on management performance of Mexican family businesses, contextualized in the city of Hermosillo, Sonora. This research is hybrid, because theoretical and empirical sources show different aspects of the culture of the Sonoran businessman. The problems observed during consulting interventions, generated concern to investigate that the impact of ethical or unethical behavior has in the performance of family firms. Some of these businesses reported various existential crises stemming from unethical practices that broke family and business harmony, causing serious economic and emotional consequences. The importance of this study is to know managerial behavior so others can design corrective and preventive strategies to reduce risks. The results show the extent to which work on human values education, business management will be protected and benefit, to the point to say that the act encourages ethical business profitability.
