Abstract:
In this document we present a formal model that will help SBS in Cancun, Q. Roo access financial markets by calculating their probabilities to succeed. The purpose is to identify various aspects of their organizational structure that in accordance with the Mexican Securities Market Law will allow their entrance to the stock market. The framework for this model takes into account the definition of stock financing, the business structure expected to meet the securities law market requirements and the formal establishment process from the institutional perspective. Data was collected through the application of semi-structured interviews to key positions inside 16 different companies, as well as the revision of some company’s documents and records. A reflection is made taking into consideration the results of the survey regarding the relevance of the securitization process as a business strategy that ensures its long term continuance in the market. The topic is explored within the company’s situation and its financial requirements, including the small business owners’ (small entrepreneur’s) point of view, in order to discuss their entry to the stock exchange market and the actions that should be taken into consideration to strengthen their tools.
