Abstract:
This research addresses the issue of the accreditation of academic programs of higher education from a quantitative perspective, considered the importance of accreditation for educational institutions in Mexico. We wish to know the perception of employers on the competitiveness of students studying certified educational programs. If you believe that a recognized educational program provides better preparation, performance, security and student knowledge and makes it more competitive for the development of his work. This study is a descriptive documentary. This research is useful for the employer, the student and the educational institution. The population subject to study in this analysis were accounting offices, grocery stores, and industries of the city of Mexicali, Baja California. We select these industries because they represent natural link between academic learning and application of knowledge in a professional manner. The instrument of measurement involved ten questions to gather field information. Some of this information was validated through a Cronbach Alpha statistical program, applied to 70 companies. The data were processed with Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), using descriptive statistics. The results allow conclusions and recommendations.
