Abstract: Today's globalized world requires continuous improvement and a systematic approach to quality. In this research we examine SMEs in the central Coahuila region. We identify opportunities to improve processes through different methodologies that create lean manufacturing. The aim of the study was to analyze the use of these methodologies, and the impact on economic performance of the company. We design a tool to support the implementation and standardization of the process
