Abstract: acquisitions between countries are a business opportunity and offer international economic empowerment. Mexican companies are currently being purchased by foreign investors. This study identifies factors that influence the catering services and food industry in Mexico, and the relationship between them. We wish to know factors that make them attractive as a foreign investor purchase candidate. The study was done as a joint research. The qualitative stage involves a case study of the two most important companies in Mexico that were acquired by foreign investors. Factors that influenced its foreign acquisition were identified. The quantitative stage involved a questionnaire applied to 15 companies that had not been acquired. Their specific factors or characteristics and trend of rotation were identified. The results confirm that foreign investors primarily seek companies that possess an attractive profile
