Abstract: Higher Education policy that the Mexican government implemented toward public universities in the past three decades have included different incentive programs for full-time teachers and researchers. Through these programs we seek to improve comprehensive dynamic improvement in universities and reward performance and encourage faculty productivity. This productivity is linked to motivation by a process of openness to change and renewal. Renewal being reflective of the results obtained in the classroom. The present study analyzes the performance of teachers at the Universidad Veracruzana. Specifically, we examine teaching in the School of Accounting and Administration campus Xalapa
