Abstract: Areas with a high level of conflict can be improved by management participation. The objective of this work is to identify and analyze problems, objectives and priorities for stakeholders of the Network of Natural Parks of Valencia. We administer a survey to 22 valencian natural parks to analyze globally the responses of all stakeholders of the network. In one of the parks with high conflicts, the Albufera of Valencia, we conducted a deeper analysis incorporating a group of management students and Citizens through social networks. The main problems related to management and governance could be improved by incorporating participation in strategic management. On the other hand, there are differences in management objectives between wetland and forest areas, so that in the wetlands stakeholders give more importance to conservation over use and management resulting in a higher level of conflict
