Abstract:
Some companies carry out actions in the field of environmental management to fulfillment the expectations of its customers and thereby increase their levels of competitiveness. This research seeks to compare the competitiveness of family businesses with non-relatives, specifically in environmental management. This map manages the Inter-American Development Bank, through the determination of levels of competitiveness. The results indicate that companies, not relatives, are more competitive with 72% and family businesses with a 54%. However, both companies implement actions for the care of the environment that will undoubtedly lead them to strengthen and increase its business competitiveness.
