Abstract:
Labor and professional competences are a real need for college graduates. For this reason they have been studied by many institutions. Companies desire people who can put knowledge into the productive process, and who participate in the analysis and solutions of problems that hinder quality and company´s productivity. Universities must identify the competences required for the employers of the Public Accounting professionals of the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla. We applied an instrument that measured four variables: communicative competences, methodological, propositional and technical through a survey of 24 items. We obtain relevant information from 90 private sector employers. We conclude that graduates of this institution are developing correctly in the labor market. It is important to enforce transversal competences of the institution to strengthen the profile of its graduates
