Abstract:
The purpose of this research is to propose a plan for identification of successors for family businesses. Many family businesses don’t prepare a succession plan and often are faced with a dilemma on who should lead the company once the founder is no longer involved in the business. Founders created the company according to their own needs and capacities. They were more conservative, and many did not have a colleague. Their children are different. Many have college degree, and as such, sometimes it is difficult for founders and new generations to agree on how to manage the business they are going to inherit. This work seeks to provide analysis of the issues at hand during the selection of a family business successor
