Job satisfaction is one of the basic factors to achieve competitiveness in companies. The object of this research is to identify the levels of satisfaction of employees in maquiladoras of the automotive industry in the region of Matamoros. We further propose strategies focused on increasing employee satisfaction. The methodology used was descriptive, quantitative and transverse. The sample was not probabilistic and for convenience, the survey was applied to 5 companies including 32 automotive maquiladoras resulting in 150 instruments. An organizational climate questionnaire with 10 dimensions and 30 items with Likert scale responses was used.
