Abstract: Saving is not a usual habit in Mexico. This paper serves as the basis to examine this important habit within millennials in Mexico. We focus specifically on those millennials that are already generating profits. The research goal is to determine the impact of gender on savings and financial education among millennials. A comparison based on gender was completed to identify significant differences in regard to saving and financial education among bachelor senior students of a public university, located in northeast of Mexico. A total of 124 surveys were used for this purpose. The sample included half male and half female students. The data was analyzed by comparing the mean values to test the research hypotheses. The results show that men save more and have more financial education knowledge than women. However, these differences were non-significant and additional research is necessary to generalize the research findings and to propose better recommendations to future generations
