Abstract:
Within the framework of the evaluation of educational quality as a leading issue in the field of Higher Education this article aims to promote debate, highlight the problems, and promote decision-making based on the empirical evidence from the profiling of those who graduate from the Bachelor of Administration of the Universidad de Chiapas. The tool used for the collection of data is a survey consisting of 60 closedended questions that inquire into their academic and employment history as well as the perceptions constructed by the students during the academic training process. The results show that only a quarter of those who graduate from this Bachelor were able to financially support themselves by working. Most of them graduate being single and there is a slightly higher number of male graduates. The graduates are regarded as having good skills to work in a team and to communicate orally or in writing. Opportunities for improvement are presented in: applying knowledge in research, identifying and locating information, processing and analyzing information, as well as diagnosing and detecting problems. Regarding services provided by the Institution, the following stand out: the tutoring program, internet, external services, facilities and practices in laboratories, and last but not least, the low rates of incorporation into the labor market during student life
