Abstract:
Companies should be responsible in their dealings with workers, customers and consumers, as well as with the environment. They should collaborate through ethical practices in the construction of a society that allows them to live better. The efforts of all involved must be integrated. This research focuses on predicting the impact of dimensions of corporate social responsibility on consumer support for the company. The methodology used was quantitative and consisted in the application of a structured questionnaire to 256 consumers of products of a dairy processing company, from October to November 2017. The results show the linear regression model explains 56.3% of the variability of consumer support to the company, based on economic and philanthropic dimensions of corporate social responsibility. The legal and ethical dimensions do not contribute significantly to explaining consumer support to the responsible company. We found the highest valued dimension is philanthropic
