Abstract:
This paper provides a description of the work skills that tour guides require to better perform their duties. Tour guides are a key part of the tourism destination experience. The objective of this research is to analyze the skills most valued by tour operators in hiring the services of a tourist guide. Statistical methods are used to analyze the data. The discussion identifies generic and specific skills that enable the guide to more effectively carry out their work.
