Abstract: Mexico's geographical location coupled with its cheap labor and easy business setup process has played an important role in where companies establish their factories. The auto dismantling industry has successfully taken advantage of Mexico's unique attributes and established a thriving industry. This study analyzes the auto dismantling industry in Mexicali. The study shows that the Mexico auto dismantling industry has to follow international auto part recycling standards that benefit society, eliminate pollution and social problems. It is important to generate stringent legislation to regulate auto recycling. In addition, the industry should provide training and build support for the generation of new technologies that protect the environment and provides a better quality of life for the communities where the industry operates.
