Abstract:
The objective of this research is to analyze the relationship between strategies adopted by business people when managing their companies. Of interest in this study is how enterprises adapt to the environment and what communication and information technologies (CIT´s) they use as a competitive factor. A structured questionnaire was applied to 137 small enterprises (SME's) from the central region of The State of Coahuila. The data was processed using the statistical software SPSS. The statistical test Cross Tabs shows that the coefficient of contingency is not significant at a 95% level of confidence. Therefore, it is not possible to assure that there is a relation between the type of strategy adopted by businesspeople in the process of adapting to the environment and the use of the CIT´s in the SME’s.
