Abstract: According to the new contexts of interaction among teachers and students in education that have emerged in recent years, have been considered a number of new resources for the teaching-learning process, including video conferencing. This research aims to confirm the contribution to the quality of teachinglearning process with the various structural, organizational, curricular and technician factors involved in the video conferencing process, specifically in the field of higher education. The study was conducted from November 2010 to February 2012 at a public university in northwestern Mexico, with the participation of 73 teachers and 23 students. The study was based on a descriptive and qualitative design, using questionnaire, interviews and observation method for data collection. The results obtained indicate that all elements of the environment where they carried out the communication process intervene actively to the quality of education and not only the factors related to technology.
