Abstract:
For organizations, the incorporation of information and communication technologies (TIC`s) has become a necessity. Educational institutions have been no exception. Modalities blended and distance learning, which began to be implemented around the 1990s (Garrido y Michelli, 2004), demanded the adoption of TIC`s in their production processes of knowledge and learning. The use of internet, video, tutorials, collaborative software, multimedia software and platforms such as blackboard became everyday practice. However, after about 20 years of proliferation of these new technologies, it is unknown whether modality teachers have incorporated the use of TIC`s in the production processes of knowledge and learning. We assume that organizational culture is the key variable in promoting this process of change. The aim is to investigate the extent that organizational culture of academic personnel of the Faculty of Communication Sciences (FCC) of the Autonomous University of Puebla (BUAP) influenced the adoption of the TIC`s in modality. A quantitative strategy was applied to develop a model of linear regression between the variables habitual behaviors and the use of TIC`s.
