Abstract: For the proper functioning of an organization requires innovative and spontaneous activities by employees that go beyond the requirements in their job descriptions. It also requires people committed to organizational goals. The purpose of the present research was to identify factors of greatest relevance of the commitment to the organization of small enterprises. We specifically examine firms in the metal mechanical industry of Monclova, Coahuila. The sample consists of sixty workers. Data collection was completed by an instrument of Meyer and Allen (1991), to diagnose Organizational Commitment. The survey scale was Likert, composed of 21 items which evaluated the Affective Commitment, as well as Continuity and Normative. The analysis of reliability of the questionnaire shows a Coefficient Alpha of Cronbach’s of 0.89. Once the data were tabulated, statistical treatment consisted of calculating frequencies, median, contingency coefficients and Significance Levels, using the SPSS program (version 17.0).
