Abstract: The purpose of this literature review is to identify the pattern of family care to support the development of adolescent identity. The results of the literature review show that the pattern of parenting that is able to optimize the identity of adolescents is authoritative parenting pattern. Parents are believed to be more democratic in communicating, giving adolescent independence to think and act about something that concerns their life, and put the youth as the center of family education.
