Energy and Environment Research, 2012, vol. 2, issue 1, 229

Abstract: This paper analyzes the energy consumption of Shandong Province by the use of Complete Decomposition Model. We decompose three key factors- economic growth, structure and energy intensity, and study the impact on energy consumption results brought by changes in these variables. The corresponding effect coefficients is compared with national average level to identify the characteristics of energy consumption changes in Shandong and specific effects of every stage of each factor, providing a scientific basis for the development of energy policy making.
