Abstract:
Adaptive tennis programs have been increasingly recognized as an effective intervention for children with developmental disorders, particularly those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This study seeks to evaluate the psychosocial and physical benefits of adaptive tennis through a local ACEing Autism program. Results indicate significant improvements in social skills, communication, self-esteem, mood, and motor coordination among participants, as reported by their parents. This paper reviews existing literature, presents the methodology and findings of the study, and discusses implications for future research and adaptive sports programming.
