Reliability Assessment Based on Multivariate Degradation Measures and Competing Failure Analysis

Zhu Liang, Yan Jun, Haifeng Ling and Zhenglian Su

Modern Applied Science, 2011, vol. 5, issue 6, 232

Abstract: An reliability assessment model based on multivariate degradation measures and competing failure analysis is presented. The multi-dimensionality reduction processing has applied to multivariate degradation measures to extract the key features for ease of calculation. The cumulative distribution function of sudden failure is calculated in terms of degradation data rather than time domains, and the reliability assessment model based on competing failure analysis is established. An example of an equipment component with competing failure data is applied to verify the validate of the model.
