Abstract: La Sra. Grynspan fue designada por el Secretario General de las Naciones Unidas, Sr. Ban Ki-moon, como Subsecretaria General y Administradora Asociada del PNUD, a partir del 1 de febrero de 2010. Previo a formar parte de Naciones Unidas ejerció el cargo de Vicepresidente de Costa Rica, durante el período 1994-1998. Como una fuerte y consistente promotora del desarrollo humano, ha colaborado en focalizar la atención a nivel global sobre la necesidad de reducir la inequidad, construir cohesión social, y empoderar a las mujeres hacia el logro de los Objetivos de Desarrollo del Milenio.
