Abstract: The article examines the status and operation of oil and gas industry especially in today\'s socio-economic development of Ukraine. Based on the performance of enterprises and national statistics the main trends in the financial position of companies in this industry. The features of state regulation of the financial condition of companies on the experience of the National Joint Stock Company \"Naftogaz of Ukraine\".
