Abstract: The analysis of the theoretical foundations of the international transport corridors is discussed. Particular attention is given to transit opportunities of Ukraine, their current shortcomings, possible ways of improvement. The correlation between investment in transport infrastructure and dynamic freight volumes through Ukraine is shown. The perspective directions for improving transit facilities in Ukraine is offered.
