Abstract: It has been considered in the article the essence of exchange of rights. It has been examined its logical-historical changeovers: the exchange of rights through exchange of activity, the exchange of rights through swapping, the exchange of rights in exchange of commodities, the universal form of exchange and free or separate exchange of rights.
