Abstract: In the article the reciprocal determinism of the innovation cycle and socio-economic cycle of the capitalist mode of production. The problem is considered on the basis of analysis of the law of the tendency to a decrease in the rate of return, based on the fundamental contradiction of the capitalist mode of production.
