Abstract: The article examines the theoretical bases of national competitiveness as well as provides practical methods of determining the competitive advantages of countries by various methodologies. Based on quantitative and qualitative indicators, the competitiveness of Ukraine in 2011 is analyzed and the key competitive advantages on the world market are identified.
