Abstract: The goal of the article lies in justification of the model of assessment of probability of the serviceable condition of the banking system. Analysing, systemising and generalising scientific works of many scientists, the article introduces the "serviceability of the banking system" notion as one of indicators of reliability of the banking system. In the result of the study the article develops a simplified element structure scheme of reliability of the banking system, which includes three elements: NBU, aggregate of banks of the second level and aggregate of economic subjects that work with banks. The article offers a method of assessment of probability of the serviceable condition of the banking system with a possibility of possible restoration of all its elements in case of certain malfunctions, which is based on provisions of the theory of reliability of complex systems. The further studies would consider more complex schemes that include possibilities of loaded and not loaded reservation.
