Cognitive Approach in Study of Some Aspects of the Strategic Potential of the Economic System of the Crimean Region

Abstract: The article considers the notion of strategic potential of the economic system, which includes the aggregate of available resources and reserves for development and realisation of the selected strategy. The tourist and recreation sphere of the Crimean region as a sector of economy is a priority one from the point of view of long-term development. The goal of the cognitive analysis of the studied system of strategic potential of the southern region is to understand the mechanism of functioning of the system (mechanism of phenomena and processes that take part in the system) and also forecasting of development of the economic system of the studied territory. The article provides the procedure of this type of modelling for study of some aspects of the strategic potential. It provides a cognitive structurisation, which includes questioning experts, identification of basic factors and identification of the degree of positive and negative influence of the factors upon the elements of the economic system. On the basis of the analysis results, the article identifies the role of each key factor in study of the strategic potential of the economic system of the Crimean region.
