Abstract: The article is dedicated to the study of the condition of pre-school education in the rural areas of Ukraine and defining problems of its development. It gives the statistical analysis of the data from State Statistics Committee of Ukraine, calculates the indexes of development, makes structural analysis and reveals the main tendencies of development of pre-school education in the rural areas of Ukraine. Based on results of mentioned analysis the desirable directions of its development were defined.
