Abstract: The analysis of the theoretical foundations of the study of competitiveness of regions is made. Special attention was paid to the competitiveness of the border regions. It was shown the results of evaluation of the competitiveness of the border regions of Ukraine and Belarus, the main strengths and weaknesses, opportunities to threats.
