Abstract: In the article the analysis of approaches to determination of the concept of "Spatial asymmetry" is conducted. The experience of both Ukrainian and foreign scientists is investigated. The comparison of term "asymmetry" with words-synonyms is carried out. The grouping of determinations of spatial asymmetry is conducted based on the characteristic features and the specified definition of the term "Spatial asymmetry of placing of labour resources", which emphasizes the temporal, resource and regional aspects, is suggested.
