Abstract: The article substantiates a necessity of spatial diversification of agroindustrial production, which facilitates increase of efficiency of agroindustrial enterprises functioning. It contains analysis of negative sides of major holdings activity, which restrain solution of problems of socio-economic development of rural territories. Due to insufficient scientific and methodical substantiation of diversification processes in agricultural sphere, the methodology of formation of spatial organisation of agroindustrial clusters is offered as an alternative to holdings. The proposed typical model of an agroindustrial cluster envisages voluntary union of agricultural producers with suppliers of means of production, processing and food industries, sales channels and customers, education, science and power, which would facilitate attractiveness of agricultural entrepreneurship. Besides, each participant of such a union will stay independent. Practical realisation of proposed methodological approaches to distribution of spatial diversification on the basis of agroindustrial clusters would allow growth of food production volumes by means of advanced processing of agricultural products and would create a basis for socio-economic development of rural territories.
