Abstract: The article reveals the essence of economic neoconservatism as a leading direction of economic thought, the main provisions of which determine development of the economic system in the end of XX century and in the beginning of XXI century. It shows its genesis, evolution and key provisions. The article also reflects main contradictions of economic neoconservatism, urgency of which has grown due to the modern economic crisis.
