Experience of Individual Countries in Solution of Problems of Human Development

Abstract: The article considers methodical approaches to definition of the concept of human development as a factor of formation of human capital and basics of economic development in general. Bearing in mind identification of priority ways of development of human potential in Ukraine, it conducts analysis of each of its three main blocks: living standards, assessed through gross national income per capita by the parity of purchasing capacity in US Dollars; literacy rate of the country population (average number of years spent on education) and expected duration of education; life expectancy - it assesses longevity. The article offers institutional and programme measures with respect to human development.
