Abstract: The article is devoted to development of the methods of assessment of factors that influence stability of Ukrainian banks operation. The article gives a definition of stability of the banking system on the basis of the Lyapunov theory. In accordance with the decree "On Approval of the Methods of Calculation of Economic Norms of Regulation of Banking Activity in Ukraine", a system of regulatory indicators of banks activity was developed. The article analyses dynamics of main indicators of banks activity for 2006 - 2012. It provides indicators that reflect the state of the banking system, reveals the mechanism or their influence upon stability of the banking system of Ukraine. It provides a developed cognitive model, on the basis of which it studies interrelation of indicators and their synergetic influence upon the state and development of the banking system of Ukraine.
