Abstract:
The article considers tourism as a specific system with own inherent patterns of development. It offers to analyse the mechanism of state administration on the basis of the author's definition. It justifies that the tourist industry requires new approaches to state support on the basis of principles of proper administration. It reveals evolution of the role of the state in recent years and outlines main directions of state support of the tourist industry. It generalises existing legal and organisational mechanisms of administering tourism in 12 countries of the world. It analyses key measures on improvement of state support. It reveals main problems of development of the tourist industry and develops recommendations on improvement of the mechanisms of state support of the tourist industry in Ukraine.
