Abstract:
The article analyses existing methods of state regulation of the labour market. It justifies a necessity of exercising state regulation of the labour market in Ukraine, since it requires regulated changes and establishment of stable bilateral links with the world labour market both at the regional and national levels. This issue is quite topical under conditions of globalisation, since the labour market of Ukraine is in the stage of adaptation to the world economic environment. The role of the state in the goal-setting and as a regulator of the process of adaptation is very significant, taking into account the current situation in the labour market of Ukraine and the state of the world labour market. The goal of this article is consideration of approaches with respect to methods of regulation of the labour market and determination of their effectiveness. After conducting the study of existing methods the article offers the following conclusions: availability of a big variety of methods of regulation of the labour market is connected not with uncertainty in their effectiveness but, on the contrary, with a possibility of solving the set tasks with the help of application of a multi-variant combination of the existing methods of regulation. Also, a big number of methods of regulation is connected with a variety of the existing problems arising during formation and functioning of the labour market. Solution of the modern problems of the labour market requires complex measures, which could be realised with the help of several methods of state regulation. Their selection depends on a number of components: first of all, on the problem itself (time of its origination, urgency of solution, and consequences), availability of funds in the relevant budget or fund, possibility of application of different methods to solution of the problem at a certain level of administration, etc.
