Application of the Taxonomic Method for Assessing Influence of External Factors of Enterprise Competitiveness

Abstract: The article analyses the use of the taxonomic method when assessing external factors of the meso-level enterprise competitiveness. It shows an example of calculations with obtaining a quantitative final result. Taxonomic method was used during calculation of with the use of specific evidences, the list of which was developed in the result of the conducted studies on the basis of publicly available data of the State Statistical Service of Ukraine, territorial subdivisions of the State Statistical Service of Ukraine, Efficient Management Foundation and individual calculations. The article describes the already existing method of inserting weight ratios directly into the matrix of standardised values, which, in the author's opinion, is the most optimal one. In the result of the studies and calculations the article obtains a quantitative assessment of external factors of the meso-level enterprise competitiveness, expressed through ranking by Ukrainian regions.
