Abstract: The article considers problems of uneven development of regional economies and their interrelation in ensuring economic growth of the national economy of Ukraine. It shows that levelling income of the population by regions through budget re-distribution and financial support of development and economic growth of regions should be carried out with consideration of contribution of each region and prospects of its development into the common economic growth of the national economy. The system of levelling regional development indicators should take into account their quantitative and qualitative characteristics as well as assessments of the level of their socio-economic development.
