Abstract: The dynamics of the main social and economic development indicators of the major Ukrainian regions has been investigated. The problem questions about the level of nominal wages of employers and environmental costanding of the region were considered. Emphasis is placed on the fact that we have to implement economic and ecological model of development and the experience of European countries.
